Tiny house in the Black Forest
The Black Forest is slope. Almost every site has a gradient, almost every access a bend, and above eight hundred metres a winter that counts. Then the forest itself: shade, damp, leaves in the gutter. A tiny house here is a question of placement and access before it is a question of model.
In the Black Forest placement and access are settled before the model: slope, bend radii, load-bearing of tracks, crane position. At altitude, snow load and winter operation are added, verified and planned per site. The town pages lie in Baden-Württemberg; what applies there under planning law is on the state page, with the official source.
Slope: placement and access first
A unit on four supports stands on a slope if the ground under each support bears and the height difference can be taken up by the supports — and that has limits. Beyond them a foundation or terracing is needed, which belongs to planning at the site. Access often decides before that: a track with tight hairpins and gradient does not carry a nine-metre house — then it is lifted, and that needs a crane position. A post in the practice series goes through crane and manoeuvring in detail.
Altitude: snow and winter
Above the valleys snow lies in the Black Forest, and it lies on the roof. Which snow load a roof must carry is set by the site's snow-load zone, and the verification belongs to the project documents per site — there is no flat figure. Then winter operation: insulation, heating, frost-proof water routing and ventilation are chosen for a unit lived in in January, or for one shut down in October.
Forest: shade, damp, leaves
In the forest a unit stands in shade, and shade means damp that dries more slowly. Facade and structure are ventilated and drained so that damp does not linger, and the roof drainage is planned for leaves. Anyone running nature hotels, campsites or housing projects here will find what to clarify before enquiring on the operator pages.
